Announcing the Wisconsin Leadership Institute: Transforming Disability Services and Supports

We are thrilled to introduce one of Inclusa Foundation’s inaugural strategic funding recipients: The National Leadership Consortium. Their exciting new initiative, The Wisconsin Leadership Institute is a three-phase program designed to empower both emerging and well-established leaders within the disability sector, driving transformative change in organizational practices and service delivery. Their program will offer an annual in-person Leadership Institute, ongoing virtual follow-up training and support, and short-term leadership coaching. With a focus on enhancing leadership skills, promoting inclusivity, and fostering innovation, this program aims to create a more responsive and person-centered system of supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Wisconsin.

About The National Leadership Consortium

The National Leadership Consortium has a rich history of designing, developing, and facilitating Leadership Institutes across North America and around the globe. With over 17 years of experience, the Consortium has empowered more than 3,000 leaders in the disability sector through intensive training programs, focused on enhancing leadership capabilities and driving organizational change.

The Wisconsin Leadership Institute Experience

The Wisconsin Leadership Institute offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to address the evolving challenges and opportunities within the disability sector. Participants will engage in a week-long program featuring presentations from local and national experts, individual and group-based assessments, interactive exercises, and facilitated discussions. Topics covered include understanding industry trends, promoting person-directed supports, fostering inclusive organizational cultures, and navigating leadership transitions.

The program is tailored to accommodate individual leaders from various organizations and parts of the Wisconsin disability service sector. It will foster the opportunity for participants to collaborate and develop a vision for change, while networking with leaders from across the state and gain insights from diverse perspectives.

Addressing Common Leadership Challenges

The Wisconsin Leadership Institute equips participants with the tools and strategies needed to address common challenges within the disability sector, including:
